Johnny Gray (Edward Norris) is a selfproclaimed playoy. Grays car is found at the scene of a crime; and although its een stolen it is enough to convict Gray of the holdup. Rico (Willy Castello) is the real criminal ut never ecomes a suspect. Ricos gang memers Creeper Harry and Red are also sent to jail with Gray. When Grays fiancée even elieves Johnny is guilty he ecomes angry and a difficult prisoner. Gray is eventually put in the same cell as Cain (Jack La Rue); The leader of a gang is planning a prison reak. Frank Sanders (Milurn Stone) is a new warden and he has finally earned Grays trust. Gray is moved to another cell with a new cellmate and has the option of working in the prisons garden. While working in the garden Gray meets Amy Duncan (Joan Woodury) the daughter of one of the guards. Rico plans to escape from the outside ut is killed in the attempt. Finally one of Ricos men admits that Johnny Gray is an innocent man.
